IRON MAIDEN Lands In Jakarta For First-Ever Indonesian Tour

February 16, 2011

According to The Jakarta Post, British heavy metal legends IRON MAIDEN arrived in Jakarta, Indonesia earlier today (Wednesday, February 16). The band’s first concert tour of Indonesia is scheduled to kick off Thursday night (February 17) at Pantai Karnaval, Ancol, West Jakarta and will also include a Bali show at Garuda Wisnu Kencana on Sunday, February 20.

"This concert in Indonesia is special because it is the first time we have visited the country after 13 years of touring," IRON MAIDEN vocalist Bruce Dickinson said at a press conference. He said the band would give their best performance even though rainy weather has been a concern.

Steve Harris, the band's bassist, said that the two shows will depend on what the organizer provides.

"It looks like that the two shows will be the same. However, it would depend on what the organizer provides us. In short, we know what we gives in every concert, especially we will perform twice ( in Indonesia)," said Harris.
